Who works at Awaydays?
Awaydays is run by Rachel Holliday who organises all the trips and she also acts as a tour guide on some of them. Louis Booth also works as a tour guide, particularly on the Italian and Spanish based trips.
What happens on an Awaydays holiday? Do I have to stay with the group all the time?
Depending on where people live, we may meet up for a coffee a few weeks before the trip to meet each other. On the day of the holiday, you will normally be picked up from home by minibus and taken to the airport. Your Awaydays tour guide will be with you and will have your boarding passes.
Upon landing at our destination, a transfer will be there to take us to our hotel.
Most Awaydays holidays are for 5 to 7 days in length. During that time, there will usually be one organised trip for the group such as a guided tour. However this is your holiday and you can decide what you want to do and when. Normally most people meet up in the evening to have dinner together but if you want to do your own thing, then that is fine. The majority of people on the holidays are single travellers.
